Théâtre Aphasique has overseen Des paroles dans le vent for many years. This group is a social integration project that works with people with aphasia through visual arts and dance.

This project encourages participants 

• to develop greater independence;
• to develop a collaborative network with artistic resources within the community;
• to increase new areas of expression;
• to socially interact by taking part in various creation activities;
• to further gain confidence in their capabilities;
• to raise awareness about aphasia with people in touch with the group and talk about the daily effects of the disease; and
• to raise awareness among workers and the public about allowing people with aphasia to express themselves and take advantage of social participation.

Meeting frequency: Thursday mornings, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
