OUR MISSION
Théâtre Aphasique is a non-profit organization focused on rehabilitating and socially reintegrating people with aphasia through dramatic art. Each participant suffers from the disease or has acquired communication disorders. Our activities are twofold: creating and presenting plays for the general public, and putting on dramatic art workshops. Activities by Théâtre Aphasique are free for people with aphasia living in Montreal and the surrounding areas.

Our services
DRAMATIC ART WORKSHOPS
Théâtre Aphasique provides dramatic art workshops to people with aphasia 30 weeks per year. These are workshops adapted for people with aphasia and consider individuals’ limitations and disabilities. The workshops encourage participants to acquire new skills to develop their independence and self-confidence.
THEATRICAL PRODUCTIONS
The Théâtre Aphasique troupe has approximately twenty actors with aphasia. Participants were first registered in dramatic art workshops to take up the challenge of working on stage. Plays usually run between three and five years.
