MISSION, GOALS, AND ANNUAL REPORT

Théâtre Aphasique is a non-profit organization focused on rehabilitating and socially reintegrating people with aphasia through dramatic art. Each participant suffers from the disease or has acquired communication disorders. Our activities are twofold: creating and presenting plays for the general public, and putting on dramatic art workshops. Activities by Théâtre Aphasique are free for people with aphasia living in Montreal and the surrounding areas.

• Encourage rehabilitation as well as social and professional reintegration of people with aphasia or with communication problems through dramatic art workshops and plays.
• Encourage and promote artistic creation among people with aphasia or people with communication problems using tools that conform with performing arts.
• Raise public awareness of people with aphasia through plays presented by said individuals.
• Disseminate the Théâtre Aphasique approach among stakeholders.
